She loves Pokemon too, but being younger than me makes for some interesting differences in growing up with Pokemon. I’m a Johtoddler, but I do remember the pre-Johto era of just 151, ‘cause Red and Blue were really popular in pre-school. She however, grew up with Platinum, which leads to she and I having some similar and different opinions about the series, which is interesting. I’m really glad she likes Pokemon though, since we can be nerds about it together.
She’s big into the TCG, which I dropped around the EX expansions, which can be worrisome considering how much she spends on it. But she’s smart, and buys stuff that’ll get her good pulls, so if she wanted to sell them, she’d make back her money. We play Pokemon Go together too, and I trade her shinies I catch for fun. I usually tease her into doing things for me in exchange for the shinies. I bought her SouldSilver for her birthday recently, and it seems like she likes it, but she doesn’t like battling the trainers for XP, so her team is all like, level 20 (except for her starter), yet she’s at the Elite Four.
Overall, I can’t feel lucky enough that I have a pokegf
