>>38633374The "Story" stretches an otherwise small game into a slog for me. Recently I went through and caught all the Alolan region pokemon and it took me only about 6 hours or so, and that's with an average potentially below average player. The game's overall world is so much smaller than almost all of the mainline games, coming out maybe slightly bigger than Orre. The story only serves to lengthen that nothing world in order to "Extend" a poorly conceived region's experience.
As for people liking the game? I'm glad they can see past what I cannot. I am a bitter fan, who has very little hope for the future of the series, and gen 7 introduced next to nothing in terms of overall series growth. If they can enjoy it good for them, as for me, i'm sitting and waiting on Gen 8 and hoping for the best
