Yes, they're slow at times but the GAME PLAY hasn't really changed and doesn't need to.
What'd be better is a re-release only with edits to fix that slowness and to make use of the Switch's power.
An under the hood remaster, not a remake.
Gen 4 is otherwise just a graphic update which isn't needed because it's already great in design. Not as good as the 2D in terms of style in FR/LG but the ideal for 2.5D which is where they should've stopped anyway.
