As for Flannery, she did get a boost in popularity due to ORAS, though that's a different story if you're only talking about doujins.

Ironically enough, 2010-2013 was actually one of the best times for Pokemon fanart to flourish. Poor Juniper just got shafted in favour of Hilda, Elesa, and Skyla. There's a new renaissance of great fanart, especially for the mommy types, but Sadly, Juniper was 8 years too early.

Also, Winona got done dirty too, even if she's close friends with turbo-fapbait Flannery.

Gardenia, I guess. It'll probably change with the inevitable gen 4 remakes assuming she doesn't get a garbage-tier redesign.

It really is interesting watching the fan-art output of all games in general multiply. Whether a series is mainstream or obscure, a new character will get a lot more art than an older character.
Compare something like Urbosa and Nabooru from Zelda. I'm confidant Urbosa has several times the amount of fanart and porn and it largely has to do with just being a new character, in an age where artists are much more common.

Lenora receives fanart every once in a while. Still much better than characters that get fanart once in a blood moon, like Karen, Pre-ORAS Shelly/Courtney, and the Furisode Girls who fell completly by the wayside once Hex Maniac got meme'd to death

Indeed, there were many female npcs in XY that deserved way more love and attention, from a design perspective, than Hex. I'm honestly upset that ONE random npc that sold Moomoo Milk was the catalyst of it all.
