I feel like I'm going insane, because I genuinely cannot understand why people are this upset about the national dex controversy. Every single "problem" with removing it either doesn't matter that much or is actually a positive.
>"All those pokemon you caught and kept close over the years? Gone, deleted, they don't care."
No? They will all be perfectly fine in pokemon home, and if you want to use any of them you can bring them out to compatible games and put them back at your leisure. Not a single pokemon will be "stuck" there forever, not to mention they have yet to go in detail on all the ways you will be able to interact with them.
>"The slogan is gotta catch em all, not gotta catch some of them"
This literally hasn't been possible every since r/s/e onwards. To complete the national dex you need to import pokemon, pokemon you have *already* caught. Does importing over your living dex to fill in some arbitrary slots of your pokedex give you some sort of self satisfaction? At all? None of you were going to "catch" all the pokemon, you were going to import like you always do and then never use 99% of those pokemon. Them gathering dust in your 16th PC box until the next installment of the franchise is literally the exact same as them gathering dust in some bank app, which will probably have more functionality too.
