>>38973385>>38973387I can understand the complaints, but the extent and fervor feels like a mixture of people unable to accept change, people thinking and promoting the worst so fan the flames, people who already had complaints about or don't like current pokemon and are latching onto a convenient bandwagon, and people knowing that if they scream loud enough they can be catered to since that's what happened with the Sonic movie. I see people use that image from RLM about "asking questions and not just consuming products", but no questions are being asked and people aren't thinking about what they're asking for and are caught up in the same emotions they belittle "apologists" for.
We know little about what will fully be in SWSH, or any game that will come after (despite people acting like this is the final game and a mon not being in Sword and Shield means it's cut out of a multi-media franchise).
We also know nothing about Home, which could be akin to Ranch, the dream world, or have other features that make it not just a bank, especially when it's going to be available on your phone, so you'll likely be able to play with your "bro" on the go.
The game isn't any different from the others in terms of having a select few mons that can be caught in the wild and used in the game.
If it was solely "I want to catch them all" issue, that's still possible with Home. If it's "I want to battle with them all", the 3DS games are still being supported with wifi and the new game will have its own scene. If "I want to see my bros on the switch" then wait and see if they're in this game and if not wait for the next game, or see them on Home.
I'm not saying every fan should be excited for SWSH, but every game has been to advertise and explore a new region with new mons, or expanding on the world and having its own adventure. Not being able to transfer every single Pokemon doesn't hinder that. It's ludicrous to ask Gamefreak to change things up but to white when they try to.
