Yeah, that's what I answered but it's not just the Dex that needs fixing if that's what they mean.

For me, fixing requires, minimum:

>Cloud/local backups (deal breaker - won't be bought without).
>Full Dex including Megas (deal breaker - won't be bought without).
>150+ new Pokémon species
>New regional forms and Megas
>Full Kalos postgame with all of it's content
>Promise they've learned from out backlash and the rest of the content from the past will come with the next game which they will take their time on and release when ready, not before.

I expect none of these things so, it's a very unlikely purchase unless they delay which they seemingly have no desire to do even though it's the only way.

I'm waiting for a demo before making a choice. But maybe there isn't gonna be a Demo, Gamefreak may not have the budget, the time, staff quantity for a demo.

All I want is to be able to have all my Pokémon on one game, and some sort of post game battle facility, even a shit battle tower clone. I can do without post game features or any other extra goodies, that’s the minimum I want

Maybe if they don’t get it I’ll but it used eventually

I’m not sure what the big fiasco is. I’m as upset as the next person but I haven’t been riding 2019 on this one game. I’m excited for borderlands 3 and doom eternal. And I have college too so I won’t even have much time for games. I simply just decided I won’t get it for now and left it at that. I’m not sure why everyone else is getting so irate, just make a decision and leave it at that

they already have a demo. they can distribute the one at the e3 floor. I believe they did that for xy. showed the demo at e3 and two days later it became available on the 3ds eshop.

I'll be interested to see where sword and shield fall on the list when they go up for presale. the usa store, they haven't moved from 12th sword, 16th double pack and 21st shield in the switch games-only listing for around a week now, with the all games listing (albeit with a lot of accessories, currency cards, and shit there) for sword having fallen into the late 80s with the double pack not even in the top 100 anymore. that shows bad preorder for a game series that makes most of its sales day 1. impossible to know the digital preorders through the eshop, though.

The franchise is betraying what it's about. I'll buy it used at best and not at all at worst. Won't be buying another mainline game direct from GF until all Pokemon are included.

One thing Pokemon always has going for it is the clueless parents and grandparents that will buy it for their children/grandchildren as a Christmas present. Like mario it has that innocent vibe about it. If Pokemon was released any other time of the year then the sales would drop dramatically.

I get why they do it. And yeah, movies have to do it since less people go to the cinema nowadays, especially as a family.

The point I’m trying to make is that Pokemon is guaranteed a huge amount of sales no matter how poor the game is, due to again the clueless parents and grandparents who will inevitably buy the game as a Christmas present.

The actual hardcore Pokemon fans probably only make up a small percentage of the overall sales.
