I could see this happening, the resolution would probably be fighting her after the champion, then rose finding out and resigning. Leon (who is no longer champion) takes the role of chairman and you’re the champion from then on.

I actually have a feeling the story in Sword/Shield will be somewhat decent if it explores these ideas of rigged battles, false images and whatnot. I'm also interested in the first "evil" Pokemon Eternatus, if it is truly evil and not another pissed off legendary because of problems humans caused.

Losing isn’t canon in the games, excluding the tutorial battles where it’s possible to lose and continue with the game, and even then it’s barely mentioned. Blacking out and going to a Pokémon Center is just the excuse they use to reset without forcing you back to your last save.

your pokemon get to survive hits and do crits "because they love you" but no one else's pokemon do that
not a single opponent has a 6 pokemon team
