It had good visuals in the sense that the pokemon animations were nice and the attack effects were good, but that's pretty much literally all it had.
The single player was nonexistant, the online was pointless cause nothing was tracked, you did everything just for more cash to customize your trainer with customization options that weren't even that great, and it cut out all the kinds of extra features the old Stadium games had.
The game was just a flat battle simulator and while it looked nice it was slow and wholly unfulfilling. People keep going "Oh just give the games to the guys that made BR!" but they have shown nothing that makes me think they'd be able to make a full scale mainline game properly.
