>>54175072I think Buffel's and Drayano's idea on difficulty hacks is nice. Keep an original team but give them the most viable set for each pokemon. Yeah, eviolite is bullshit on a pokemon like Koffing in Drayano's hacks but it makes sense that not as many people in the town have challenged the Gym leader because they're actually running a somewhat competitive setup. Combined with sets that throw you off, the game feels more fun and I feel more accomplished getting through the elite four with my starter and nicknamed pokemon.
Challenge hacks like this feel like someone got tired of the showdown ladder and put their teams into a game. I don't hate on people for wanting to play it, but they eventually turn into a hours long slogfest of making perfect sets that would take you 10 or so clicks on showdown to make. So I don't play them.
