Jesus Christ, this game is nothing more than a grind fest. There's nothing to do but rematch gym leaders till you get strong enough.

Simply removing barricades and scaling trainers doesnt make it an open world game. That's far less than the bare minimum and somebody should make a legitimate open world Pokemon fan game so this meme can finally die.

I don't know why people would want to play a Pokemon Crystal romhack in the first place. You guys know there are FireRed and Emerald romhacks, right? Hell, if you own a PC you can even play Pokemon Essentials games, which are a drastic improvement.

Like nearly everything else I'm pretty sure he "borrowed" those from other hacks that were open source. I can't trust anything in the game to be SS's original content except the Elite Four inserts.

In the new update they made the character customization better and you can choose skin color and the color of your clothes/hair. I guess they used it to randomize the colors of every NPC in the game so that each trainer is unique but it just made everyone but the important characters a shade of brown. I'm not obsessed with race or anything, it just feels weird that the game is supposed to based on Japan but everyone there is brown.

If you look through their changelogs, you'll notice the colors in their screenshots don't match up with the ones ingame. This is because they use BGB, which has an option that lowers the saturation, and raises the gamma. I'm guessing the palettes were made with that specific setup in mind, and they didn't even TRY disabling the option to see just how awful it looks.

Set is based when you and your opponent at the same level. Not when you're 20 levels behind. In that case, you NEED shift and items to stand a chance, or else you'll just spend 4 hours grinding 20 levels just to stomp the opponent regardless of battle style

It also made a bunch of other improvements to singleplyer such as setting levels during gym leader rematches and npc for trading pokemon that evolve by trading.

Overall, it's a decent hack but it's ruined by the creator's ego. I mean, the massive fucking shockslayer logo (fag name) should be a big hint.
