Pokemon would be good if they went back to basics from gens 1-2 and focused on just making the games as polished as possible. No stupid gimmicks, no shoehorned story about saving the world from whateverthefuck, no bullshit.
Make new regions feel like actual places. No shitty fantasy magical crystal towns or mushroom houses. No regions looking like perfect geometrical shapes for some contrived reason.
Make tiers for online battling and update them bi-annually by tthe same criteria as Smogon, without all the retarded forum drama.
Make the game corner into an arcade if slot machines will never return. Let us play pinball and pikachu surfing infinite runner. Literally any stupid minigame will work. Let us buy Pokemon through gacha machines with arcade tokens.
They could do so much better with this franchise and it would take even less effort than their current shitshow.
