Things like Hohokum come to mind as something that may have managed that, as the technology was sufficient and the techniques were available to provide a visual experience that doesn't seem to have been compromised from concept to execution or improved in any objective terms barring impending resolution standard changes.
Wind Waker is less abstract and more commonly noted example of achieving a given aesthetic thanks to very smart art direction and the style suiting simple
geometry.It has stood up very well to the test of time as a result.
More realistic or complex styles are the ones that can seemingly be improved indefinitely with far more parameters to juggle, consider, approximate, and adjust to the ends of a particular look if the style isn't meant to be 100 percent realistic.
