They definitely will do it again later on in the gen, with Ultra SWSH 2 or whatever. We even have the max raid portals as a mechanic to set it up anyway.

The next platform will be such a massive hardware jump that the new models made for Sword and Shield won't cut it and they'll have to remake them all over again for Gen 10.

This is what cements my hatred of Gen 6 and why I believe Gen 7 is just marginally better than it. There was no third game(s) to fix the fuckups of the two frontrunners. We needed a Pokemon Z, X and Y felt unfinished and unpolished, as we needed an Emerald counterpart of ORAS, since those games were missing features of the games they were supposed to be remaking.

Mostly agree, but only if you count the Ultra games, because onestly, base SuMo is as bad as "base" X Y, i cant tell who is the better gen from those two, they ahre both deeply flawed and rushed with a serious problem of lack of content.

Of course they won't add in Glameow of Luxray or some of the Mythicals midway through the gen, but you can bet they'd put in all of the legendaries for VGC again because that's what they do every time.

It's an app that checks to see if you went to the location then gives you a code if you did. There are no physical codes. Someone could sell you that string of numbers I guess so it's probably functionally the same to you.
