I'm just gonna say it, consequences be damned.
I have NEVER, EVER "caught them all". I never will, either, and have never made any concerted effort to do so in my life. I have played every single Pokemon game, and consider it a waste of fucking time to pick up any Pokemon I don't want to use. Because it IS a waste of time. It's not a fun or enjoyable process, there isn't a strategy or decision process involved, it's literally just busywork. I'll use multiple teams, I'll use bad Pokemon to try and make them work, I'll get weird Pokemon to try and surprise my friends, I'll even force myself to use Pokemon I've never used before sometimes in playthroughs, because every Pokemon CAN be interesting! But collecting them SOLELY to collect them is fucking stupid and I'm tired of being silenced on this.

This isn't a pro-dexit post. All Pokemon should be AVAILABLE, just getting every one including ones you don't intend to use is a pointless waste of time.
