>>40008519This is only tangentially on topic, but I worked in retail for a long time and you be amazed how often I heard shit like this from parents, but oddly enough it's always the mothers who do this to their sons. Everyone has this preconceived idea that it's the dads who are the closed minded no-girly-stuff-allowed, be-a-man types, but in my experience it's always the moms drilling kind of stuff into their boys.
A while back, I had one mom bring her son in to my store on his birthday to pick out a DS as his birthday gift, and she blew a fucking brain aneurysm at this kid when he said he wanted the metallic rose colored one. She was berating and insulting him at the top of her lungs right there in the middle of the store for daring to even look at such sissy girly garbage and no son of hers will carry anything pink like a queer and blah blah blah on and on, holy shit.
