Corn smut is extremely high in carcinogens, and its pretty much the equivolent of eating a carton of cigarettes. This was also in the same era of new Nuclear Energy, Radition in health and cuisine (wouldn't stand too close to 60's era washers and microwaves), where Doctors highly recommended cigarettes, Lead paint and abestoes were the King of construction, and copper/nickel was being mined openly without much regard to nature, or people.
Essentially; it was kind of a minefield for personal health. But regardless, Smutted Corn was released to the American Public, and eaten by millions upon millions of unknowing citizens. What made it worse was that through subsidies, sugar was replaced with a new cheaper, subsidized sweetener called Corn Syrup, of which America still utilizes today due to its subsidized nature. Your soda? It has corn in it!
So the whole cancer epidemic? Its mostly relegated to Boomers 50+ who lived in an age where they ate literal Cancer Corn, and dealt with the run and gun nature of an economic revolutionary time.
This has gotten better over time, however there is a slight problem. You see, carcinogens change genetic structure of Humans, and these genetic flaws can be passed down through generations.
Eventually, it'll breed itself out, but for right now, the biggest Cancer hit is on the Boomers, its still prevalent in X'ers, it'll be less prevalent in Zoomers, and in the Nyoomers it won't be much of an issue.
So when you wonder about Cancer, remember to thank Nixon, thank Corn, and thank Jews; they killed and genetically fucked millions for the sake of economic balance.
