>>40140671I think the writers wasted the chance of bring back May in XY&Z to attract old fans and promote the games, but at same time, I'm not surprised due to two fact:
-Her VA is a bit older now, they don't called her and Japan have the whim of don't change the Seiyū or find a replacement usually.
-The main director of that season had a boner for Serena and Ash was used as self-insert, adding somebody like May (wich had a big bond with the main character previously and even some feelings were hinted) would cause problems.
