I LOVE blindly playing through a new game and catching every pokemon I encounter, building a team with mons I don't know anything about, and re-living the newbie experience. After I've had my fun with in-game, I start to check out the competitive scene for the new generation. Enjoy them both and appreciate them independently of one another. Don't be a faggot.
