i just wanna leave this board for all the negativity. i don't think the game is gonna be perfect by any means but jesus, you have to be a truly masochistic autist to spend so much time and energy shitting on unreleased games you "aren't going to buy." i still maintain my excitement despite coming here but it's still draining. i wanna go somewhere to get hype for the games and discuss what i'm looking forward, but i don't like reddit, and this place is a black hole of excitement. even the XY hype season on /vp/ was better and more positive then this, and those games were so mediocre.

The vast majority of sales comes from the casuals that don't really care about any problems with the games because they'll only play for about 2-4 weeks before dropping them

They're enormous and will buy literally anything with the pokemon name on it in droves.
Most of them are casuals who don't care about the graphics, cut content, deeper mechanics or anything like that anyway.
As long as it's a new game with new mons and some old favorite available they'll be happy.
The entirety of this board, twitter, any site really could boycott the game and it'll still sell millions regardless.
