Unfortunately, instead of focusing efforts on an issue that affects literally 100% of the players and starting something like #BringBackFollowingPokémon or #ProperScaleOnSWSH , we got a movement about the Dex thing, a problem that most of the fanbase, even the dedicated portion, wouldn't even realize that existed until months after launch, and even so most still wouldn't care.
