How could Pokemon be fixed? Let's get the simple things out of the way first.
>difficulty modes: easy, trainers have "standard" team of 2-4. normal, trainers have full 6 team. hard, trainers full 6 pokemon scale to/above your team level and they have attacks and movepools based on weaknesses and smogon data
>ai for trainers and wild mons in game based on machine learning from smogon random battles
>full dex, can trade forward with future proofed storage app

now for some of the trickier stuff
>design??? get fans to submit and vote for designs they like gamefreak then uses those as a base and do their best not to fuck it up
>company gamefreak begs papa nintendo to give them training by their best
>balancing using machine learning examine tiers via smogon and slowly buff other mons from never used tiers

inb4 why are you such a smogon fag. tell me where is there more REAL data being generated in REAL time regarding pokemon battles and matchups? use that shit gamefreak buys smogon or battle net whatever its called making it an official service to datamine. start examining the never used and come up with abilities like galarian weezing that both break the game and make for interesting gimmick shit. then adjust in seasons based on the data.
