I can't force myself to play PTCG since the Unbroken Bonds. The power creep was so ridiculous I couldn't even play Expanded because people were bringing their Standard decks there and still wreck shit.

Welder/Fire Crystal/Giant Hearth broke this game. My poorfag main deck runs Kamikaze Arcanines which is plenty enough to beat ordinary GX/TTGX decks. If I decide to buy some Volcanions, this shit will just get stupid.

Thats a dope 1 prize attacker. Do you ever feel energy starved though? Welder ramps you two, but thats your supporter, meaning you will be missing out on other support play since you would want to be weldering all the time. What if you dont hit Welder as well? Do you have other ways for additional energy attach for the turn?

This format makes me realize how much I miss Lysandre and even Random Reciever. I did try Brock's Grit but since according to the online game you have to shuffle in the max amount of cards and as such probably energy as well I never found a use for it, Lana's Fishing Rod might be an option though. I also tried Red's Challenge but it ended up only being marginally useful and I found Guzma and Hala was the better option. Same with Misty's Determination.

It's been ages since this thread was up it feels like.

Sometimes energy can be crippling, but that is rare, and likely coincides with a slow deployment of Arcanines, the actual losing condition here. With a successful energy dump on turns 1/2/3, the deck plays itself.
