As we all know SS has various issues. Won't go into detail, the people who know what I mean KNOW what I mean.
Anyway, this smile, to me at least, feels like a purposeful troll. In the sense that Marnie, next to Gloria, is essentially the poster child of the game, the mascot if you will. Like Lillie in Gen 7 if ye get me. She is sort of a 'give no shit' personification of GF/TPC and that smile, to me, feels like everyone behind the games way of saying, "We know full well what we're doing, and there's NOTHING you can do about it."
It makes more sense in my head. Sorry for the messy answer dude. Hope that's clear, probably isn't though. Lol.
Apologies for the rant too man, just distraught with what pokémon has become. SS had the potential to be amazing, timeless games.
