You've got some really good designs like Wooloo, the entire Corviknight line, and Falinks, but at the same time you have shit like A Penguin With An Ice Cube Mascot Head On and whatever the fuck is going on with Duraludon, Purserker, and Coalassal, as well as your standard "Literally my Mom's" pokemon like Yamper, Ideedee, Polteageist, and Zacian, none of which are BAD but obviously just rehashes of something else we've already seen before.
Most of the big misses this gen are in alternate forms, like the G-Max forms for Charizard and Machamp, which are just "KANTO but we added glowy bits", and Gengar, which is really just the mega but bigger this time.
Also anybody that doesn't think the Appletun line is the funniest shit ain't anybody I care about the opinion of.
