>>41627925Again, I did enjoy Super's story, I just thought it had pacing issues. Nearing the end there are just too many twists, too many reveals, too much everything. It weakens the impact. It also hurt that it took several plot elements from previous games, making it feel less original. As for some your gameplay comments:
>As soon as you unlock missions, one of the first ones you have to do is kill a unbalanced lv 50 salamance when you are level 10 near the start of the game, and it 1 shots you everytime forcing you to use lots of blast seeds and revive seeds to beat itThis mission was meant to drill into the player's head that you should be using items to succeed in Super. You have a much bigger inventory and many more options like wands. If you learn the item lesson early on the game is much easier.
>Due to enemy levels in missions being unbalanced, you will often fight high level quest pokemon you can't beat and HAVE to bring other team members with you to beat them that are 40 levels above yoursI pretty much exclusively played my first time with about 5 Pokemon all around the same level. Again, things like the Truant wand or Team Attacks are your friends.
>Wands are basically just orbs so there wasn't a good reason to add those, they just take up bag space and potential drops in dungeonsI thought wands were a pretty good addition. Stackable orbs with more variety in usage. Orbs were designated to room/floor wide stuff while wands focused on individual foes. Plus they could stack well with wand emeras to create an item using build.
>The looplets make it so you always want to hold them, making other items like scarves uselessThis one you're completely right about. The game should have just let you equip a looplet and something else.
>There are no Kecleon Shops in dungeons like in the past gamesI'm almost certain Kecleon shops in dungeons are in the game.
I do think there were some more controversial decisions in Super but plenty of good ones too.
