How come the Pokémon movies at BW2 are a better Pokémon story than everything else we've gotten? I wish the actual games took risks like this instead of the same 8 gyms formula

Here for example the protagonist iis a scientist going to the future.
There's also stuff about being a superhero fighting crime with your mon, or perhaps you could be a policeman

I dunno I wish Pokemon had a more epic jrpg story instead of another kid going to the Pokmon League

Pokemon isn't supposed to be like other jrpgs. We play pokemon for the pokemon not for the story and pokemon don't need strong personalities or character because they are just monsters we use to fight,play, dress-up etc. If you want an Intj Bounsweet story ask Masuda for one in a mystery dungeon game not a mainline game.

Gen 5's story was good in the 2nd release. Everything else was awful. It started the trend of really bad pokemon designs and lazy map layouts.
