It's just streamlined design. GTS as a feature on a game with only 400 monsters exists only to make people completely cheese the already faster-to-achieve Shiny Charm. It belongs on a separate app that can be limited at first months of a new game's release better.

It's not about whether they will or not. If you present people with an incomplete experience and offer a full version when paid, people will almost always pay for the full version. There's research done on similar apps like this. It's designed in a way to make you feel like your experience could be better when paid full, and that "it's only $15". I can't really see myself using Serebii over Bulbapedia, Pokemon Database or Veekun when searching for Pokemon. Bulbapedia's layout is much better, Database is aesthetically better for me especially when dealing with groups of Pokemon and Veekun is good for comparing Pokemon and getting information specific to Stats and Moves.

Servers cost money I assume. Pretty nice that anyone can deposit Pokémon in the cloud for free, forever. Plus, the people who buy premium pay for the free service. I hate most of gamefreaks recent decisions, but this is literally just returning the same version of a previous feature for free while giving you an option of having an all new upgrade if you want to pay for it. Not true. Car manufacturers have been doing this for decades.

Primary examples:. Needing a special tool/key to change tires, needing a special tool to reach screws inside a tailgate to change brake lights, making the freon input inaccessible/nearly inaccessible to anyone who isn't a mechanic, placing spark plugs in more unusual locations/configurations, making basic maintenance like oil changes more complex, ect

I dont trust them at all. I simply think from a company perspective, why waste expense in shilling constantly on vp when most people are praising and defending the games for them. Sure a publicist can start a few thread here the same they do on reddit and every website to advertise when there is something coming from the brand
