Venusaur is probably the better winner, thick fat helps it patch up two of the main flaws of its typing, which is actually good offensively in the current meta and earth power lets it get that extra needed coverage. To not talk about how max quake boosts sp def, making it even bulkier. If its gmax move has a 50% chance of putting leech seed on each opponent this thing is going to become Ferrothorn but better.
Not sure about Blastoise, it would kinda act like Belly Drum Snorlax but on the speedy side of things, but between fake out become more and more popular and Duraludon having thunderbolt and redirection immunity I'm not so sure about it.
Clefairy is kinda disappointing if you do some calcs, thanks to max steelspike.

It doesn't make you invest in mixed offenses, hits pex and other things weak to ground (which usually have better def than spdef), isn't weakened by grassy terrain, and hits a single target. It'll be nice in doubles.
Anyone gushing over it in singles pre heatran is a tard, weather ball is a bigger deal.

are these legal on Showdown VGC already?
I didn't run into any of them earlier and honestly I think it will be harder for Incineroar to centralize the metagame like it did before. Parting Shot will be sick for people who want to boost their own Defiant/Competitive though.

Maybe centralize wasn't the optimal word, but it consistently had 90%+ usage in almost every top cut for a long time.
Since vgc20 has more freedom than the alola metas, the playing masses have more experience against Incineroar, and the new disincentives to running Intimidate all the time I think Incineroar usage will drop
of course this is just theory

It will drop by the simple fact that most powerful Pokémon of the meta aren’t arbitrarily restricted to 2 per team all while invalidating 90-95% of available non restricted choices. That and Dynamax heavily punishing slow defensive play Incineroar used to be the master of I guess.

And? Nobody says Intimidate is not useful. But ~35% usage (Arcanine’s current usage) would still be a very considerable drop from ~85% Incin had for the better part of VGC19.

Speaking of which, Arcanine will still have a solid niche over Incineroar due to being faster and being a much better user of Heat Wave. Fast Snarl is huge in a meta where most special threats are around the 80 base speed mark and you can’t just mindlessly click Fake Out to stop them from wrecking shit turn 1.

Parting shot is actually not better than uturn. Uturn gives you chip damage + the dyna bug move, I would still use it over parting shot.

Parting Shot is still useful in singles because it cancels out DD from Kyurem (before it was banned) allowing it to be killed by fairy mons like clefable without worrying about icicle spear. Same could be said for melmetal. The special attack drop is also nice against mons such as Clefable or special pult. It depends on what you want to achieve really.

I dont think I thought this one through, I'd be suprised if they do anything other than setting up Grass/Water Pledges. They will also I'm guessing open up combinations of the field effects.

The combo effects, since Charizard's is Grass/Fire.
Blastoise will be the Fire/Water (Serene Grace-esque) and Venus's Water/Grass (anti Tailwind). I think the Venus one would be better since it not just reverses but does more than Tailwind to counteract, but a free Serene Grace would also be pretty neat, and Id wager it stacks with abilities.

I think rain will probably be better (and so will sun and grassy terrain for the other two) but that wouldn't be terrible.

Send in Blastoise at full health, click Shell Smash, and if the opponent hits you that turn you get all our health back thanks to the new mechanics.

Then sweep w/ Water Spout.
