>>43053069Oh my... I'm flattered, but it is somewhat worrying! When I used to post on /v/, some of the anons over there commented that I had seemed familiar throughout different threads. It appears that I'm not cutout for this anonymity stuff haha.Piers is such a popular boy, it is tough to keep up with his regulars and occasional's. That said! I will be paying attention to see if I can spot you out from the crowd in the future! An interesting challenge. While GF is full of incompetency, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on one thing: the mandatory annual release (presumably ordained by Nintendo and TPCi themselves?) is a brutal schedule, and is a significant factor in why the mainline games have felt so lacking since... I'd say XY, really. Call me optimistic, faithful even. But I do believe that GF would have, could have, fine-tuned a number of aspects of the games a bit more if they were given the time to do so. I too, did enjoy SnS a fair bit. Dare I say it? Dare I shall.
Albeit in spoiler tags. It's one of my favourite mainline entires. It's a shame that the positives about it were overshadowed and shutdown by the negatives.
And I have to be real: the Dex-cut was something I genuinely never gave a hoot about. Again, I can completely understand why, and even how, it was/is a problem. But at the same time, I feel like limiting the overall number of species obtainable in the games helps give each entry its own distinctive flavour, so to speak. As well, while I'm not involved with the metagame, I'm certain things must have been different this time around, seeing that so many of the usual, prominent powerhouses are absent. Absent for now, at least.
On another note: I am haunted by the 2000-character limit of a single 4chan post continually. It is not my fault that I simply have so much to talk about! No room to compromise!
