Why the fuck do they NEVER put in jail the criminals that put people, Pokemon, the world, fucking hell even the UNIVERSE at risk? Every single arc ends with a "whoops, hehe sorry" and a "it's okay as long as you don't do it again". And then the next arc is about the same criminals doing the same things. Are adults in Pokemon fucking mentally disabled?

Pretty late into the series, I know, but it struck me as pretty fucking odd at the end of XY when you beat Lysandre in that secret underground lab of his. He shouts no and cries about his whole plan being ruined........ just... because... you beat him in a Pokémon battle. He’s physically much larger than Calum and Serena. If he really wanted he got Nash their skulls in. Kick the shit out of them. Stomp Serena’s teeth in and rip Calum’s arm out of the socket. He’s a grown man and could kill if he chose to. But no. Because he essentially lost a game of Rock Paper Scissors he decides he’s lost forever. Nothing stopping him from snapping a kid’s neck and pissing in their mouth while they violently twitch on the ground. Whatever.

He didn't lose a battle of Rock Paper Scissors, he lost a Pokemon battle. The player character won, so they still have at least one healthy Pokemon while all of his are fainted.

The pokemon are what stops him anyone without pokemon is basically helpless against a trainer. A well trained Greninja would slap his ass with zero effort. Not only that but in game pokemon are shown to be able to force them selves out of pokeballs if they want to enough. If you physically assault a trainer be ready to deal with a team of fucking literal monsters.

This is why everything is settled with pokemon battles the person with no pokemon left to fight generally has no options but surrender and hope they are not mauled to death or get a hyper beam to the face.

Which Lance does right in front of you to team rocket grunts.

Okay but seeing as how the literal police raid shown in Pokemon Genedations Ep 2 was using Pokemon it's entirely possible that they have or use guns and such solely because well-trained Pokemon trump them. Maybe the technology exists but isn't really used; maybe they just use the words since it conveys the intent of the attacks/abilities to the player/viewer audience who knows what ballistic weapons are. Or hell, they may have developed the words and shit like ballistic vests entirely separate from firearms; pretty sure people wouldn't want to get fucked up because an aggressive Graveler they were trying to move away from town Rock Blasted their shit.

At this point you're just grasping at straws. Just admit there is evidence. They're even more clearly mag pouches in the TCG and if they're going to show Pokeballs in them, it's going to be in the TCG with the more detailed art. Those pouches were clearly designed to fit something flat in rectangular (a gun mag) and not something round and circular.

I know that's still anime specific, but I feel like it makes more sense that heavy weapons like that see more use than just normal handguns or whatever since Pokemon exist for regular stopping power. Meanwhile "the big guns" can be used for scaring off shit like rampaging Tyranitar or clearing paths and shit since not everyone carries around powerful Pokemon, similar to how Jessie and James do things.

True, it'd still be logical for a cop to carry a handgun though in the off chance that their Pokemon faints or gets shot and the criminal they're trying to arrest also has a gun. Perhaps Pokemon are used in a similar way to tasers by cops where it's what they'll use most of the time but they can still use their handgun when lethal force is necessary. I do agree that heavy weaponry is probably the weaponry that is used most of the time though.

Faba was sorted out in house and demoted while Lusamine either OD'ed or got off scott free. Everyone basically cleaned up the collateral from her Leroy Jenkinsing Necrozma in ultra.

Loitering and unsportsmanlike conduct. Nobody bothers to do anything about it though.
