Frankly as someone that managed to plow thru those games as a third world kid that didn't even know english I'd be guessing that he is full of shit and pretending the game he's not mad at isn't easy, when it is.

To be fair, RS at least took the fact that they cant trade with older games to complettly overhaul the whole Pokemon stat system, basically creating a new gamestyle. Not having every Pokemon from the start available was a strange choice, but ultimately it was still possible to complete the dex later. Saying "they made us buy so many games" is not really a gen3 problem, because even gen2 made it impossible to get all pokemon with all games of their generation

SwoShit made it even more expensive to be able to transfer even less pokemon.

Older games aren't guilty of having as many towns be as empty as the towns in SwSh

Wild area is one empty field split into multipe zones, it functions as one route and compared to routes in the DS era it barely counts as one.

Sure you can speedrun, but a normal playthrough of SwSh is much shorter and bloated with cutscenes

DLC isn't even out yet and looks like it'll add nothing more than what platinum or emerald added

Pressing A and entering a new area is depth, solving a puzzle to reach or unlock legendary pokemon is depth, exploring parts of routes you couldn't reach before is depth. SwSh has like 2 total areas that you need to ride your bike to reach and that's it

False, previous games had many more towns and routes and more buildings to enter where you could at least get items, even Kanto had something relevant in every town. SwSh literally just sends you on from town to town for nothing but gym badges until the very end.
