She uses a Cherrim in the appeal round and a male Delcatty with Cute Charm in the battle round. Lila uses a similar strategy to the one that she used against Johanna all those years ago. Dawn wins the ribbon by using Ambipom. Ambipom blocking off Sing with Double Hit in this contest while she was infatuated due to Cute Charm gave Ash the idea of using "Counter Shield" against Fantina. So, Lila was more relevant to the story than you would originally think. Lila is also noteworthy for being the only COTD character that Dawn won a ribbon against. She won her first against Kenny, her second against May, and her fourth and fifth ribbons against Ursula. (She also technically won a sixth ribbon due to Salvia impersonating her, and even then she won against Jessie.)
