Hi I like Pokemon but I'm about 7 to 10 years removed from playing. I was born in 98 and didn't play past half of gen 5 but played everything before it. Does playing when you're older feel different? How much strategy was I not implementing as a 5th grader? Should I pay attention to IVs and EVs and balanced typing and all that? Do tier lists matter?

I latched hard onto gen 4 it seems, diamond was my favorite as a kid but SS won my heart
