Game journalist here, got a download code for expansion pass. Gonna have some fun here while writing the review ;)

So far the game gives you a lot of resources for training, mostly Rare Candies and Nuggets, but the story itself is pretty barren I must say.
You can straight up climb the tower and your main quest is done.
You can make your Pokémon Gigantamaxing if they have Dynamax level maxed out.
There aren't dungeons, caves are a straight path. This has been my biggest disappointment.
No new Pokémon besides Slowpoke but found a Dragonair in a lake for my girlfriend (seems Sword exclusive because she hasn't found it).
