Shiny HA Popplio in 17 eggs! Kinda funny, because before this I hatched a shiny Fletchling in 21 eggs. After hatching 1300+ eggs for my shiny porygon.. Guess the game owed me lol.

Masuda Method, very rarely raid dens if I want them for competitive only but not enough to breed them myself. I give no value those.

never really got why they decided to make bounsweet and alolan geodude's encounters become their evolutions in USUM. the levels didn't really jump too high (lush jungle only jumped one whole level while route 12's lowest is as high as SM's highest of 29). doesn't really change anything since both evolve in a single level anyway.

Honestly running around in the FS or hoard hunting are my go to so far. I've been going through all of my FS on X getting at least one shiny from each then moving onto the next while leveling my comp mons.

My last hunt was for Pichu in Silver. I like how Raichu's shiny has a silver tail in gen 2.
Took about ~4 hours using the shiny Ditto method.

was filling out my isle of armor dex and just ran into this pretty lady. Caught her as a petlilli and evolved her right away. I noticed a slight shade of blue in her eyes and was caught completely off guard. Wasn’t even hunting or anything. How this happened was it is an open phase from Safari Week. I didn't want to leave without closing it out. I didn't think it would lead to this kind of suffering. At this point it's not about winning or failing, it is just to get something to shine so I can move on.

This is just off the top off my head so you might want to double check with a proper source, but it's to do with how gen 2 handles shininess through IVs. If you breed using a shiny Ditto (or any shiny parent) the odds of the egg becoming shiny are about 1 in 64.

the shiny chances become 1/682 w/o charm however the chance of that mon having said updated odds is only 3%. pretty sure the 25 streak is bullshit.
shiny ditto is more about how gen 2 handles shinies (has to have specific IV's). since the mon passes some of them down, the chances become around 1/64, people just use ditto because well, it's fucking ditto.

Finally got my shiny lobster a couple days ago.
He was egg 619 by my count.

Now working for a Shiny Bounsweet. Doing batches of 50 eggs. In the middle of Batch 300-350 right now.

Yeah I forgot to mention that the shiny Ditto work only in gen 2 it gives you a 1/64 chance but getting and hatching eggs takes longer than new gens. Also the 500 encounters just gives you a 3% of boosted chances and the 25 chain is for aura pokemon not shinies.

MM hands down. Best way of ensuring proper nature, IVs and egg moves. I guess now that you can basically edit every aspect of your Pokemon this is somewhat meaningless however at least you don't have to waste any unnecessary mints, ability capsules, or bottle caps.

Yep. Shiny charm + masuda method. Got lucky with my surprise trades and got a foreign 5IV grass stud to go with her.
Was doing the same with Clauncher before and it took him 619 eggs. I think I just got bad luck honestly.

I mean, it's not that bad. You can gather 50 eggs in about 15 minutes if you're lucky, more like 20 if you're not.
Then hatching them takes something like 30-40 min.
So you can do 50 eggs in an hour pretty easily.

I love the idea of keeping a pokemon just at the verge of fainting but not letting it faint until it calls its shiny brethren, so it's gotta be SOS. Also, I love that the hunts are mostly just 1 cycle because you get just the same species(for most cases at least).

I've been doing a ton of surprise trading while doing my shiny breeding and by FAR the most common pokemon I've gotten from it is Scorbunny.
Fucking everyone wants their tan tomboy bunny.

I also keep having moments where i accidentally say no to an egg and instantly feel like that one must have been the shiny.
Not sure when the pokemon itself is really generated honestly.

Breeding, though SOS chains in Gen 7 were a close second and I miss them a lot.

Marshadow is my favorite in general but its shiny is fucking awful. I think keeping the Purple highlights but making the body proper an off-white as well would've done wonders.
