Was playing Ubers on battle spot when something occurred to me:
Objectively, shit like shiny rayquaza doesn’t exist. Lore-wise, the legendaries that there are only one of wouldn’t be subject to the whole random “mutation” of shininess.
The only acceptable argument against this is “muh multiple dimensions”. Yes we have arceus make us a new dialga/palkia in HGSS, and Hoopa pulls legends from dimensions in its movie, but in-canon, there would never be a shiny rayquaza unless it breeds, which it shouldn’t be able to do because there’s only one of them.
