What's wrong about it? The original "city" was literally 3 houses and the bike shop, new Mauville seems an improvement to me

What? XY had more postgame than RS did. Yeah, adding gates to the previously seamless Hoenn should be a crime but gen 6 still managed to have the single best engine in the series with the PSS, super training, and movement.
Also, battles in Gen 6 still manage to be about 15% faster than Gen 7 on the N3DS.

Just yesterday driving around the country in routes I've never been before I found what looked like the typical entrance of a large mall ("commercial center") and the big adv said its a "commercial city".
Turns out these kind of places exist. I immediately thought of Mauville. Maybe they are more common in Japan
