Opinions on IV and natures?
Don't really like IVs, hate when you catch your bro but he gets fucked just because and you have to go full autismo mode to get the "perfect" pokemon through breeding
Natures are hit or miss, if they don't change much or don't affect anything, I don't mind them, but when it hinders your pokemon it sucks because now you have go catch one again, which is very annoying with legendaries or hard to get pokemon

IVs mostly don't matter in game because in game is a joke unless youre doing some stupid challenge or using a hyper shitmon. In online play 95% of them time only attack and speed are ever set to anything other than max but there are rare reasons to minimize every other stat except special attack which i can't think of anything reasonable. natures also don't matter that much ingame for the same reasons as IVs and both of them have systems to fix them now anyways if you really are so attached to a random pokemon. though they need to add rusty bottle caps or just let you choose the number instead of leaving it in their vague terms

I get why IVs (or DVs back in the day) existed, it was to make each Pokemon feel unique, even if being unique is objectively sucking or being better. These days, given how they can scale level and remove certain weird gimmicks online now, IVs could just be set to max online. There is a little build variety with IVs, notably keeping special attackers' attack IVs low to limit confusion damage, or that one Stakataka build, but beyond that it's just Hidden Power. I feel like there need to be more reasons to have sub-optimal IVs for it to be a better mechanic. Natures on the other hand are like EVs, it's all about build variety, and it has a more distinct and obvious flavor. Unless you really want a Lucario that's proud of his power, there's no notable flavor to IVs.

The only reason IVs exist is so that each individual pokemon of the same species is unique.
If you removed IVs, two Pokemon of the same species with the exact same nature, ability, and EVs will have the same 1's and 0's dictating what shows up on the stats screen.
IVs exist to scramble that and make each Pokemon unique like its a fucking tamagotchi.
I don't want IVs to exist, but they're "necessary" to break the gameplay barrier between having attachment to Pokemon vs metagaming it like an autist, and GF seems to want to maintain that barrier, unless the next thing consoomers complain about is competitive breeding.
Natures are fine.

Natures are fine but they need to be more easily influenced and changed. Mints are a stupid grind to get.
EVs are good but they shouldn't be automatically applied; You should have to apply them manually so you don't accidentally get unwanted EVs adding towards the Pokemon's total. Also allows the player to restrict themselves with no EVs if they so desire.

The game should introduce a system, which let's you just level up your pokemons IV's outside of the battle tower.
Maybe copy pokemon go, and grind down pokemon into IV candies.

Would give you a reason to catch more.

Though it was added in a different time, it's a failed attempt at giving each pokemon uniqueness, instead ending up only making competitive unviable to anyone not suffereing severe autism. It's an invisible stat purposfully made obtuse for players to check on. It serves to make some pokemon performing slightly better in the single player campain but the vast majority of people won't notice this or even care. There are better ways to make each pokemon feel unique. Like having their behaviour in the overworld/amie, battles, cooking mama minigames etc. reflect their given nature.

Natures shouldn't really affect the battle outcome either, like with IV's it only serves to lock competitive behind a trite and needless grind without much else to offer the pokemon in uniqness beyond battle performance most people won't notice or care about.

If you do like grinding there are multitudes of jrpg's that offer just that. With that said even the grinding aspect of pokemon could be rewarded with alternative shiny forms or any cosmetic bullcrap you could think about that give players their participation award without affecting competitive.

IVs I don't really focus on, since they're for more of the competitive scene. Natures, on the other hand, I like since you can imagine what they're like when spending time with them. (Especially in games when you can interact with them like HG/SS and Sword/Shield)

Simple solution. They should simply allow you to temporarily customize your bros to perfection exclusively for competitive play, literally just using a slider or something, and it should require 0 work besides the planning before hand. Pokemon is the only game that gates competitive play behind anything other than skill level, and it's retarded.
Every single thing they do to "ease" competitive play removes from the nuance of the single player experience and visa versa, they need to stop trying to have it both ways and make a clear divide in how the 2 work.

What i'm aiming for is for there to be a way to make your bros perfect in ONLY competitive play, and then have them reset to normal in the actual game
