Why is evasion purportedly "broken" and "unfun to play against", but stall is completely fine and allowed.

Another bait thread? Stall is beatable, even if it's annoying. It's not random chance what the opponent's gonna do, you know what their gameplan is. But evasion adds a layer of RNG to the existing game they're playing. Trying to kill Chansey now can be difficult without the right counters, let alone trying to kill Chansey where all of your moves have shit accuracy since it used Minimize.

Which is fine, but it requires you to carry dedicated anti-evasion counters, and at that point it starts becoming silly, I think. Plus if you lose that counter, you could be totally fucked.

Because Evasion IS Stall and boosts Stall to fucking ridiculous extremes.

Everyone already fucking hates fighting Chansey or Clefable. They don't need to spam Minimize.

Evasion is banned because it's pure RNG and your victory or defeat ends up having absolutely nothing to do with how well you played.
Stall is unfun to play against, for sure, but it's not broken, and you can beat it with skill rather than luck.

The thing about evasion is that it fuckin sucks. It's not viable. It's all just chance, so nobody except shitters and memers actually use it.
Being forced to run certain moves, items, and abilities to counter something that you could possibly just beat by getting lucky is kinda retarded.
Not conducive to a good meta.

They hate Smogon on principle because they at least attempt (emphasis on attempt) to create a skill based meta.
But obviously, they can't bitch about Smogon being biased toward good players, so they need to make up a new boogeyman. Stall was the one that stuck because it sounds the worst.
