playing gen 5 right now and I'm showered with SOUL

what are some cool pokemon I should try out on my run?
Somehow I always end up with Venipede in my team

A good choice of course. Zebstrika is always good. If you’re willing to do some back tracking you can get a fossil mon before the fourth gym, though it is exclusively weak to her. Crustle is based, Conkeldurr too, everyone uses Scrafty, Galvantula is a late game pick but I like it so much. Other than that, Musharna is decent, Swoobat is also decent, Krookodile is a classic pick, but most of the rest are either not my favorite or found too late game.

krookodile is really good even though it evolves fairly late, i like archeops a lot and it's a decent nuke. Haxorus is good too and tynamo is cute and has no weaknesses, but gets kind of ugly as it evolves imo.

Also, what's the deal with all the online features. Are they disabled? Can you hack them back in?
Or are there hacks that enable most of them for solo play?

I too am playing black right now, but the soul is lacking desu. All the trainers early on use either the rat or the dog, they’re everywhere, very little variation. And the battle music, rival music is balls. Not to mention the rivals harass you more than Hop or Hau which /vp/ claim to hate so I don’t know why unova gets a pass for it’s annoying rivals
