Umbreon is my favorite pokemon but I feel like his stats are messed up. What does /vp/ think? Nature is Brave and Im playing Storm Silver (Gen 4)

my fav is actually marshadow but I can't use it ingame
chomp is a close 2nd though. Here's him in the last 2 games I played (radical red and insurgence)

How so? I was planning on replacing headbutt with moonlight. Originally headbutt was supposed to be toxic.

umbreon is best used in a support role, hence it's high def and spd
if you can get wish or some other kind of recovery and heal bell on it you can make a pretty good cleric role on your team
toxic should help it whittle down the opponent's hp while another pokemon finishes them off

Umbreon is supposed to be played as a bulky Wish passer that can then either play cleric with Heal Bell, setup block with Taunt, or maybe spread status with either Toxic or Yawn. The only offensive move worth using on it is Foul Play but since that didn't exist in gen 4 you typically just throw in either Sucker Punch (run with Taunt) or Payback if you want an offensive move.

Nets a ton of OHKOs against opposing fire types and shit like Excadrill who cannot OHKO it without setup, especially if I set up screens. Hazard support is fairly mandatory to utilize Dragon Tail though and clerics are also welcome to keep it healthy if you can fit them in.

Reason I never went with heal bell is because I rarely get status conditions. It would have been very useful early game where I would get status conditions often but late game it never happens.

The main role my Umbreon has is tank/staller. He can take a hit and thanks to payback and his nature (+atk, - spd) he can dish out decent damage too. He could have easily solo'd Morty.

Just wish I focused a little more on defense ev instead of attack ev

Should you always avoid teaching Blastoise a physical attack move? should you only teach him special attack moves? I really want to teach him zen headbutt to make up for the lack of psychic pokemon/moves on my team but I dont know if its worth it and I should just stick with flash cannon instead

Can't decide what nature I should run with. my planned moves so far are

>Nature: ??
>Surf
>Ice Beam
>Iron Defense
>Flash Cannon or Zen headbutt

I'm playing gen 4 so I can't have shell smash

But desu, he's my favorite pokemon, and that's the point of this thread. So what move and nature would you recommend? Zen headbutt or flash cannon?
