>>45175958I agree, I didn't mean to imply that a Pokemon/Human romance can't work, I think its just really complex and difficult to pull off because at its core your Pokemon has a chance of viewing you less like their friend and more like their master/trainer meaning they look up to you for answers, guidance, training, etc. It might not be the most equal partnership and has a lot of moving parts. It can be equal though.
>https://queenieadventure.tumblr.com/I think this comic series shows it really well by having the trainer and Pokemon truly treat one another on equal footing down to not using Pokeballs (Not saying you can't pull off a romance with a Pokeball, its just easier to do without). Plus the Pokemon in this comic series can talk/Humans can understand Pokemon, and that's a massive boon for equality sake.
