Garbage gen with the worst new Pokemon period. Shit starters shit main legendaries (except Eternatus that thing fucks) and mostly lame regional forms, bar Darmanitan and the birds.

I find myself liking the Gen 6,7 lineups despite disliking the games they are in. I feel the exact opposite for Gen 2,5 mons, where I find more bland and derivative designs even though they include my favourite games.

They need to consolidate the best mons throughout all the gens to streamline things. The dex is bloated as is. They should poll the community and cut the fat. Say they all went home in a spaceship or something, I don't know.
