Because its siblings aren’t exactly interesting visually and lack personality. I like midday for being the “normal” one but dusk is genuinely a lazy recolor of it.

I don't think it is. They created the illusion of choice by making two different Lycanroc and then added a superior version that simply renders the other two forms useless. Why even bother with the original two?
