One of my fondest memories from childhood

>Parents too poor to afford a gameboy
>Buy me a pack of Pokemon cards instead on special occasions like my bday
>They would hide each card in various spots around the apartment
>Would task me with searching around the apt to find them all
>Felt like a pokemon trainer hunting 'mons irl

Often wonder if this is why I love Pokemon so much to this day, because it reminds me of the love my parents had for me and the lengths they would go to make me happy
