For a rare occasion on any board, Blue is by far the best choice as it's only dependent on the devs in question. The actual Zelda BOTW devs, Square Enix, Monolith Soft, Platinum Games... Blue potentially eliminates the actual issue, which is Game Freak themselves. Best case scenario it becomes an unofficial offshoot while the actual mainline games are for "catching" normies.
