TPCi will be releasing a new Battle Revolution style Pokemon game this summer. The game is developed by Genius Sonority in conjunction with Game Freak. The game is titled World Coronation Series. It will follow a similar plot to the Journey’s anime with the player traveling to select towns in regions all across the known pokemon world. You will battle many known NPCs and PCs throughout the story as well as many new characters along the way. There will be no set path you have to take through the story. There will be small mini games needed to unlock certain areas but, you will just need to rise through the WCS rankings in whatever manner you see fit. The only real limitation is that you will be only be allowed to challenge trainers in your same (or lower) ranked class. Challenging trainers in lower classes will not raise your rank (but can cause it to fall). You start ranked 10,000/10,000 and your goal is to become #1. The explorable areas are minimal but, there are plenty of opportunities for you to explore small portions of all the known regions.

The game will have 3 difficulties modes at the beginning, Poke, Great, and Ultra. After beating the story on Ultra difficulty, Master difficulty will be unlocked in a New Game +. The main difference in difficulty will be the strategies employed by the opponents. The higher the difficulty, the more perfect IVs, the more EV training, and other competitive strategies employed. But, the style of battles (Single/Double/Triple), set max level, and the allowed team size will also change.
