If you DO purchase the DLC, you have a small isle that's full of boring story shit and is only medicorely fun to explore and a large tundra with several (genuinely fun) sidequests, is much, much bigger and has actual secret areas to discover (and is also fun to explore), the dynamax adventures (which aren't great but can be fun with a group of friends) and an event flag that raises the post-game levels of all enemy trainers to be moderately more difficult (Leon and Mustard capping out at 80).

Same thing as any other pokemon game. Collext the dex, beat postgame story, beat battle facilities, breed online teams and battle other people
and if you're bored of that, time to replay. Been this exact same formula since crystal version.
