I agree it was never meant to be difficult but what's the point of having that huge wild area to explore and construct a team if there's nothing to do with that team? I enjoyed SwSh a lot but the battles were basically inconveniences. Only 1 trainer has pokemon higher level than you can catch. Just makes the game feel pointless imo

Why are SwSh fans like this? SwSh has some pretty good fights, especially because of dynamax. Why not focus on that instead of attacking the franchise and fanbase itself?

Leon isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of in game swsh fights worth praising. Opal and Raihan were better. Opal is the first gym leader who takes the gym's puzzle into the battle itself (she quizzes the player during her gym battle and depending on what the player's answer is their pokemon will either get their attack and special attack boosted or decreased). Raihan is good because he's the first double battle gym leader since gen 3 (or ORAS if you count those) and also the first non-monotype gym leader since DP
